We have forgotten.
To understand the history of TMSVG is to understand the rhetorical message existent in our principal, Tiffany Smith's life -- friendships. She grew up in the City of Saint Louis, Missouri in between living in Atlanta, Georgia early in her life's journey. The relationships she honed are with people she still loves today -- those friendships have withstood the test of time and space because of their genesis, love. Even those that did not endure were impactful; lessons were learned.
Honesty, despite it's difficulties, is more valuable than lying. Integrity is given, so respect is earned. A disagreement may end in a fight, but the end result is always love. Love does not cost a dime, unless that's how we love. Love is given freely, even if it is from a distance. Love produces creation. Creation becomes real. Real is our world.
Friends -- from our hair stylists and doctors to our parents and lovers -- friendships are what sustain our relationships and lives.
Friendships create the sustainability the world needs.

I had no concept of "leadership" until I attended Ascension Church in Normandy, MO. Ascension-St. Paul, as it's now known, gave me the educational grounding to tackle grammar 20+ years later in graduate school studying rhetoric and composition at Georgia State University.
